A teammate just gave me about 16 pounds of Bramley apples! We went over to hers after a nice row and picked up tons from the wind-fall. A full paper shopping bag of the green crunchies now awaits use in various recipes.
Tonight, we will probably be making apple crumble. I want to make some apple sauce during the week as well as trying some apple jam/jelly and apple butter! I have never had apple butter made from cooking apples so I’m not sure if they are sweet enough to work or not so I may pick up some pears from the store to mix in.
