We’ve been harvesting radishes for about 10 days and I just picked four bok choys on Monday. I love how both crops are literally plant and ignore (besides watering)! Last year, we grew ‘Scarlet globe‘ radishes and this year’s ‘French breakfast 3’ seems to be a better choice for our garden. Perhaps it was because we started them early under a cloche (clear plastic storage box) so that they had a head start before the slugs were around.
Both bok choy and radishes are my favourite things to grow at the moment although that will undoubtedly change as other things are ready for harvest! I’m particularly loving the look of this gorgeous salad box, shown here after harvesting four cabbages. The salad box has chives, parsley, (immature) spring onion, bok choy and spinach beet. Yum!
