Not So Hot

In early spring, we started seeds for hot peppers and sweet peppers. Only the hot peppers survived and we shared three of these plants with family and friends. The two that we have been growing on the back window sill have recently fruited.

We came back from a weekend away and realised that the peppers were much larger than they should be if they actually are hot peppers, with a characteristically ‘peppery’ shape and it dawned on us that we’re growing bell peppers! If the fruits ripen well, we’ll grow some in the greenhouse next year as well.
