Spiked Mulled Wine

We had friends over last night and served mulled wine. It was quickly gulped down before I had the chance to take a shot of it but a harvest bonus made it extra special.

At the German Market this year they served ‘fire punch’, which was regular mulled wine spiked with rum. We still had some plum rum from last Winter and served it in the mulled wine to great effect! If you happen to have some extra fruit at harvest time, give making flavored alcohol a try. It’s good in Summer cocktails, but also fruity hot seasonal punches!
