Easy Snack Bar

I made these delicious (no-cook) snack bars this week and the formula is perfect for using what you have on hand. I used about 1/3 ground nuts and seeds with around 2/3 dried, moist fruit.

Using a grinder or mill, mill about 1/2 C seeds and nuts.
Use a food processor to finely chop a cup or so of dried fruit. Even if you use small things like raisins, chopping is important to expose the moisture which will help stick the bar together.
Turn the fruit into a bowl, slowly adding the pulsed seed mix until the combination is firm and dry yet a solid mass.
Pack into a brownie tin and let sit for a while before cutting into squares.
Wrap in wax paper.

The combination I used this time around was: pulsed pumpkin seeds, flax and Brazil nuts mixed with dried raisins, apricots, and dates.
