‘Redressing’ my Wardrobe’s Gaps

In the charity shop the other week, I spotted a shirt that I loved! I tried it on and realized it was actually a dress: perfect for becoming a tunic.
The pockets hit right at the hips, so I chopped and hemmed just below the pocket. This opened up the pocket fabric to give a bit of hip space/flare.

I’ve now worn this to work several times and it has become my new favourite shirt. It fits perfectly in all the right places and all the right ways so I don’t even think about it when I’m wearing it; a perfect chest, neckline and length.

(Ignore the messy inner hem’s second stitch line, that’s not visible from the outside)

    • Thanks!

Honey gets the credit for spotting the pattern. I’m definitely checking out the dresses next time I need a new top.
