Sunday was one day before the average frost date and it was nice out, so Honey and I hit the garden. We removed the fleece from the peas and green beans (though they’re actually going to be purple), planted out the larger four zucchini (the row in front of the peas and beans), and popped some chard, nasturtium and marigolds into the ground.
I potted up the amaranth (photo below), which we’re growing for the first time this year, and sowed some cucumbers to replace the entire batch that we lost to draughts and damp pots.
Twelve runner beans were sown in the back three squares, with the remaining six awaiting a Rocket Garden herb selection gifted to us.
We thinned out the tomatoes into tubs and Honey’s homemade grow bags (awkward photo) and did some general weeding and maintenance.
Check out this awesome looking asparagus pea, which is also new to us this year!
