Just as we began to work from home in March, a colleague announced that his wife was due in November. Without being able to chat to one another naturally in the office, we poured our excitement for them through to him in our weekly team meeting video conferences.
We all initially thought we’d be able to shower him with our love in person before he went off on paternity leave, but we won’t be returning to office work any time soon. I stitched these over the summer and posted them today.

I used Arran weight yarn, an unrecorded hook (maybe a 6mm?), And the absolute last of the cream, blue and green in the house. The baby cardigan is the Cardigan Sweater for babies pattern by Bella Bambina Knits. I made my usual modifications with this sweater: larger yoke before separating for arms, longer torso, and slimmer, tapered sleeves.
