Birthday Crowns

Sunshine’s closest friends are the two girls down the street. One sister turned 5 last week and the other turns 3 this week, so I made them crowns.

I used the Crown pattern from Kat Goldin’s Crochet at Play, making the toddler size with a 4mm hook and dk yarn. I did fewer rows before the fan row because I only got to start on them the night before I wanted to gift them. The pattern is exactly what I needed it to be; a quick, easy way to make a cute and enjoyable gift, and I plan to make more.
