This weekend when I mended Sunshine’s PJs, I added a visible mend. For the past year or so, all my mends have been plain and functional so it was nice to return to a creative mend.
After darning the hole closed, I covered the stitching with the monster eye. From there, I created the outline. I had originally planned on filling in the outline but decided to keep it unfilled because it reminded me of a translucent larval stage of a cyclops monster.
