Trading Bulbs with Neighbours

When I saw that our neighbours had some muscari/grape hyacinth growing in their garden, I offered them some daffodils in a trade. They were happy to show me the plants I could dig up but initially declined the daffodils as they are not yet ready to plant them. I’ve potted the daffodils up in my ‘nursery’ and will hold them until the neighbours are ready to take them home.

I planted the muscari in a few loose clumps under one of our maples alongside our only snowdrops, and added some to the front border where the windbreak hedge has been planted.
