This winter I bought some potted Golden Hops, first year plants I believe, from Blackhaugh Community Farm. They had a slow start during the cold spring so I waited for stronger growth before planting.
Today I planted them along the fence with a quick trellis. The triangle bamboo canes are held in place just with the tension of the horizontal bars tucked behind the vertical posts. The vines die back completely each year so I’ll be able to add a more permanent trellis before the plant matures.
