Octopus Sweater Vest

My heart melted as he headed to nursery today in his handmade crochet Santa hat and his handmade knitted sweater vest, which he designed.

Sunshine picked out the purple yarn for the sweater vest and requested a pink octopus on the front. He selected the exact pink shade and okayed the style of octopus. Two months later, as I showed him the octopus in progress, he talked about it ‘zapping’ its food. We talked about jellyfish and he said he wanted a jellyfish too. Of course, my darlin’. Anything to wrap more hugs around you when you’re away.
