Crochet Pumpkin Hat for Autumn Baby & Big Sister Toys

Last month, a friend had her 2nd (October) baby and I made little one a pumpkin hat for the season.

I really liked how quickly, easily and adorably Han Jan Crochet’s Pumpkin Beanie Hat worked up. It’s soft and cosy. I used a Paton’s diploma gold DK yarn double stranded with either a thin DK or sport weight orange from a forgotten origin and they created a bit of visual depth.

For baby’s big sister, I sent over a set of hand painted rainbow peg dolls, matching the set I had made as a big sister present (both recipients are three years old) in August. The photo below shows both sets, lined up by colour.
